Okay, the fucking McCain commercial is getting on  MY NERVE! Jeeeeeeeeeeezus KKKrist! what the hell is wrong with these marketing types.. Its about a product called "smiles" and it shows kids with a guy WAILING almost Crying in the background! NEVER EVER will I buy this fucking product. I'm SICK of the AD Pollution! 10:56:04 PM    comment [] On the road again  Well, I tried writing a blog/outline on the bus today. Taking the laptop out was a total bitch! Anyhow, I did manage to yank it out of its fetal position in the case and pecked a few lines on it. Mainly about trucks whizzing by and people driving like demons trying to get to their places of "enslavement". Boy am I a reactionary or what!  Russ Lipton has a piece on "spiral" documentation and a self documenting community. Eversince CNET gave Radio 8 out of 10 and put it on its site, people have beeing putting negative as well as positive comments about it. The thing of it is, that it seem to me that the Radio fans, very subtly, are coming to Dave Winer's rescue.  Dave is a hacker, so expect no more, and what he charges is not more than what you might pay for a shitty Palm program which you buy on impulse! so give the guy a break. I do have a gripe against the "developer" centric community, and that is, that its all well and good to chase after the next dream. But at least:   Make the core product stable enough that people don't have to spend too much time maintaining it. Radio is pretty stable, but boy when it doesn't work, it is frustrating. There is too much magic there, and I would agree with the developers to go dig thru the effin code, but hey, I got my own interests to dig around with, so somethings, maybe I want reasonably stable.   Document the product Please! A tutorial and some basic documentation on the API would be GRrrrreat! Get the community to document it, start an initiative.. you can take the initiative, you took the initiative to write this awesome product, please lock the users that you already got, IN!   Or   You have just created a revolving door! people come in and people go. 10:06:36 PM    comment []
