So I've been reading some user comments on the CNET site about Radio Userland. One thing that did strike me was that most Negative comments were about the fact that:
- Dave Winer bitches paid users out when they point out bugs.
- Support is non-existent
- The sole developer keeps going off into new technologies.
- The thing is deskbound.
This got me thinking that if I want to seriously blog, I could user Blogger. It gives me the ability to write stuff on the go from anywhere (web-accessible). With Radio, I'm stuck with the desktop, and for any serious development (If I was to spend time on it) I would leverage Zope.
Now to the hard decisions part. Do I keep the Radio log? or do I move it to my blogspot site? I would definitely miss the layout, and will probably lose the temporal aspect of the posts, but that would be a one time deal, and then I'd be able to standardize.
When you charge for something, you should support it! but that's just me!
