The conflict continues! I still can't figure out what to do? what am I waiting for? There are no assurances. There are no guarantees! There are two bridges. One to the future, one to the past One you can save, the other must burn! Hardly haiku, but hey, not bad stuff! I read thru some of the Frontier tutorial today. I'm waffling between frontier and Zope. Zope is better in terms of being free, and providing all-in-one functionality. I have covered some of the learning curve already! Frontier is going to be another pandora's box (at least). Does this sound like I'm probably going to stay with Zope? yup! but for sure I'm going to get the Radio liscence. Plone version 1.0 is almost there! yay!! this is probably the best thing that came out after Squishdot! Muho thanks to Runyaga and Limi! Now I can start playing around with CMF! I have added a link to the Plone site on the navigator bar! I feel I should go out and have a beer. mmmmm beeeeeerrr!! |-)   8:15:30 PM    comment [] Well, this is weird, Only a few seconds ago I had a clear idea of what I was going to post about, and now, I don't have a clue. Just talked to Nadir, The things he described are pretty amazing (regarding Z). It is tragic in a way, for somebody who is pretty intelligent to be destroyed by drugs and bad-company. Am I sounding paternalistic or what? Sometimes I wonder how lucky I am to have survived without much of this crap even though I was on my own, and the dangers were great. Fortunate part was that my experimentation didn't really lead to any sort of addiction (except of course nicotine -- [which is causing me to cough uncontrollably right now!]). Well I guess there is not set path to it, I just got damn lucky that's all! Why can't they come up with a feel-good substance that doesn't have any horrifying side effects? Sometimes me wonders..   8:01:32 PM    comment [] I think this is a "DOH!!!!" moment! I had an older install of the UserLand, and in the "My Picture" setup, I had that directory setup as the upStream directory. So obviously, the new install's thread was picking it up from the "Watched" dir, and putting it in the wrong directory. The pics are pretty lame, but this thing was bugging me to NO end!! You know, I really like this IO stuff! I mean, I can't wait till the latest version comes out. It is awesome! I'd love to see some Collaborative features. But I also like the simplicity! but I'm pretty sure Dave can keep the balance. Zope could learn a few things from Userland. (IMO) 12:45:42 AM    comment []
