Okay, the "thread" that reads the MyPictures directory is obviously NOT working.
I have to stop smoking DAMMIT
Also the "instant" outlines have stopped being so instant. You know, I'm not so sure about this Radio thing.. I mean, there is a limit to which I can go for half cooked things.. but man, when this doesn't work its downright frustrating!!!!
I guess that's why the userland users link to zope and zopers link to userland...

I'm running out of catchy entry names
So, I got the tea, and some Nicotine gum for Adil. He sent me the link to his wedding pics today. Talked with MA today. Sometimes he's a bit weird. We talked about starting a SQL asp service. Of course nothing will come of it. I'm gonna have to go it alone, and then everyone will come out of the woodworx when the thing succeeds. Its not use at that point my dears.
I'm watching the new Burger King commercial, where animated chickens are running around announcing the new Chicken Whopper. This is something that kinda annoys me to no end. I mean, I don't really get the various specialty food restaurants showing happy pigs and chicken and cows and lambs announcing how good the "lamb chops" are inside!
I mean how sick is that? what if the lambs could think? what would they think? I mean first of all we are murdering the poor chicken, then we put a big Neon sign of a happy chicken EATING A FUCKING DRUMSTICK! can you believe it? I'm such a chicken hugger!

So I was reading the "Adventures in Self-Publishing" down below, and went to the book site for Acts of the Apostles , where he quotes Ted Kaczynsky (or Kaczynski as a nitpicker pointed out on the related Slashdot thread).
This got me thinking, I remember the "Unabomber Manifesto" being printed in the major newspapers on Ted K's request (demand?). But always thought it was kinda whacky. I wish I had kept that Detroit Free Press edition, but I didn't.
So I went looking for it on the web and found it at this website, its named "Industrial Society and its Future". I should read it someday. I mean just brushing it aside thinking its the writings of a "nutcase" probably wasn't very nice... Besides, I was just a student then and a lot more immature than I am now (phew). Well that's neither here nor there.. so I'll report my readings as I read through it. I should probably download it and save it locally, you never know when stuff disappears off the 'net.
Ta!

Adventures in Self-Publishing. I published my novel Acts of the Apostles in late 1999. Depending on how you reckon, this venture has been a stunning success, a qualified failure, or something in between. In any event my second title Cheap Complex Devices is almost ready to send to the printers, and I intend to publish it before the summer comes. I'm gonna do it again! Yowza! I recommend self-publishing for anybody whose temperament and objectives resemble mine. All others should beware. [kuro5hin.org]

Yahoo Groups has started to pith me awf!
Okay, what is the deal with yahoo groups? I've tried 3 different browser versions from 3 different locations, but heck if I can log in to this damn thing! I know my yahoo password works! because I keep logging in to my email, but for sure I can't log in to my yahoo groups.
I sent an email out to the useless "support" service, but got an automated reply back! I mean shouldn't they put some kind of a filter on this thing to see what level of answer (even automated) they want to give to a user? I mean someone who's been using their service for 7+ years IS NOT VERY EFFIN LIKELY TO HAVE THE CAPS LOCK ON WHILE TYPING THEIR PASSWORD
This world would be a better place!
OKAY.. I guess I'm the moron, no no wait, its actually Microsnot .. it seems IE doesn't want to work with Yahoo gorups anymore, I just tried it with Opera. Opera is a good little browser! Lets just see how long it takes Opera folks to turn into complete ASSHOLES! That's how EVERY OTHER INTERNET company has turned out to be (the ones that got big) so nothing new would happen here would it?
I guess I'm hyperbolizing a bit, certainly there are new-economy companies that haven't lost touch, but I think the problem is subtle, as the new-economy companies become big, they are forced to hire the Old-Skool management/media/marketing/hr people and guess what happens? these asswipes fuck the company in the ass, treat their customers as if they were morons, and promptly land the company on its ASS with a THUD!
Not such a bad deal cuz these leeches do get a good severance packages out of it most of the times, so its the new-economy and the endusers that are getting shafted.
I suppose change would happen but in the next 25-50 years. llooooooooooong time baby!!!!!!
