Definition of Bad Journalism Previously, I have mentioned FoxNews as the best example of all that is wrong in journalism today. Another great example was posted today. Now, I don't fully agree with Glick, but the treatment by O'Reilly is inexcusable. Sadly, it also seems to be universal to the entire FoxNews team. And to think that voters will make their decisions based on such "journalism". My first discovery of the stupidity that is O'Reilly was a few days after 9/11. Mr. O'Reilly was interviewing a scientist on what would have happened if the terrorists had crashed one of the airliners into a nuclear reactor. O'Reilly just could not comprehend that it wouldn't be a multi-megaton blast that would level cities and kill millions. And he wouldn't let the interviewee get a word in, much less provide O'Reilly with a clue. O'Reilly would actually be comedic if his show didn't influence public opinion. Not long after I saw that "interview", a family member-- who shall remain nameless to protect the stupid-- commented on how we almost lost a good chunk of the eastern seaboard if the terrorists had only crashed the jets into nuclear reactors. That relative had seen the same O'Reilly interview. I fear for our future because it is currently so terribly profitable to report that the outlook is as bleak as possible. 5:22:08 PM  pontificate
