I'm interested in searchable markers in blog text for specialized tools. Suggestions, Examples
~Help~: Request for Help
~MustRead~: Read this. You'll be quizzed on it later.
~Reminder~: Reminder of upcoming event.
~Question~: Question to the community
~Suggestion~: Feedback to the community
~Offer~ , ~Invite~: Offer to help, give away, services. Invite probably falls into this, but not at ~Invite~Football! Game night at my house at #:###. Please RSVP.
~RhetoricalQuestion~: Rhetorical question I'm willing to accept answers to. Just kidding..but this leads to clarifying subject, sub-category: ~Help~Blogging!! ~Question~Rhetorical!! ~Suggestion~eBay!! ~'s enclose the keyword, with the subject immediately followed and ended with a double exclamation. Markers are completely open for debate. Keywords determined by the community. The exclamation mark, although in close proximity to the tilde, seems to convey a little bit too much urgency. Perhaps ~keyword~(subject) ??
Follow-up/threading is the biggest problem. Ideally the search would be viewed within the last week or two, removing any need for an expiration notation. If your question or issue doesn't get resolved, and it's important, post it again!
But when your question is answered, a "good little blogger" would a.post a follow-up blog with a link to the original question, and b. Help the searcher for the question asked, when encountering the question, get to the answer. How can this be accomplished without editing the original post?
Should these be limited to Titles? Many people don't display this in the output, plus I've encountered problems with certain non-HTML characters in the Title. (Particularly the double quote, upon re-editing a post.)
Caution: This question has not been cross referenced with Google. :-P
...wonder if something like this has been implemented in a Wiki...
