While doing some serious "life changed, let's clean" style spring cleaning, I ran across my original copy of EOF. That wasn't the first object-relational mapping solution that I had used. Prior to EO, there was the DBKit (also from NeXT). I never used DBKit, but I used two predecessors on the NeXT platform; FireHouse and Object Persistence Paradigm (OPP). I also rolled my own ORM "solution" in Perl. That was during the dark 18 months of my career where I actually thought Perl was a decent general purpose programming language.

First lightning... now a flood. Woke up this morning to a 1/2" of water throughout my basement. My finished, furnished, carpeted basement. That is exactly what I wanted to deal with this week. Jon H pontificated: But it was still better than "The Brown Bunny".
Thanks. That had me laughing out loud and I needed that about now... |
