Blogging thru someone else
Okay, so I haven't been posting much. Didn't go to work today. Had lunch with Sabeeh and Mamin. Got lots of cards, ecards :)
anyways.. been working on the business plan, this thing is pretty extreme.. but it makes you think about things. little things that you need to take care of if you are going to strike out on your own.
I find it funny when people pretend they don't know something when you know that they do! that they have it tattooed on their fucking ass, but they like to pretend that they don't, and you can see right thru them.. had that experience today.. and I'm glad I made some choices long time ago, and I know those were the right decisions.

Okay, I think the vanity pic I got of myself on the left is a bit creepy.. but that's the best one I got I sez..
So I went to the chapters on Bay & Sheppard, and ended up buying EMPIRE by Michael Hardt & Antonio Negri. I've read the first few pages, and don't know what to make of this book yet. The reviews on amazon are not very encouraging. The language seems cryptic at best, and I'm not upto speed with the postmodernist bullshit.
The second book I bought is "The Gift" a Translation of Hafiz' poems by Daniel Ladinsky.
I have read Hafiz before, in persian, but I don't understand farsi very much, and this translation, I think is pretty good! The light was out in my building last night (cuz the transformer blew up and it took them 24 hrs to fix it ) and I sad outside in the balcony and read Hafiz.. it was nice by all means!

Welcome to the Jungle
Watching the move "The Crucible" about Salem Witch Trials, I heard a very interesting comment. The main judge dude incharge of signing off on the death warrants of all these supposed witches, says to one of the people who's telling them they're full of shit and killing innocent people, "Either you are with this court, or against it"
I wonder if the Bush "Doctrine" was an unconscious throwback to their realization that what they are doing today in the world is actually quite akin to a classic witch hunt. How ironic! I wonder if something like this was ever said in Salem during that time period.
Religion is a funny thing. This morning, I was wondering about the fact that so much hoo-haa is made about the Nazi's and all, but no one mentions anything about what religion they followed? I mean they were deathly opposed to the communists, its not like Nazis didn't have a religion. They did! but noone ever talks about it. I wonder what it was? Protestant? Catholic? What was the state religion of Nazism? Did Hitler go to his church every morning? How come NOT A SINGLE documentary on the evilness of Hitler and the Nazi Germany mentions what religion they followed? The only thing if ever, that comes out, is that " they hated the Jews" yes, but were they right wing christians (or close to the contemporary equivalent?)
Seem to be posting at odd times these days. Got some more emails from Hapa from Spain. Spain seems to be all the rage these days. I can't believe London is 800 or so and spain is like 1400 its not that much furthar is it? well.. I should know, its not really based on fairness.
I wonder if one could rent the GGW tapes ?? ;)

What the!!
Well kind of pissed right now.. my credit union just told me that they denied my loan..I can't friggin believe it.. I mean.. why the hell am I with these lusers STILL?? It is soo ridiculous.. I didn't think it would make me feel this bad.. I just didn't think they would deny.. apparently my credit history sucks!!! hmmm should have paid minimum payments.. rather than paying off the balance..
anyhoo enough bitching about the loan.. I wasn't gonna use it anyway..
I don't like it when my neighbors dogs pee on the hallway floor.. even though they have these innocent faces.. NO PEEING ON THE FUCKING FLOOR MON!! I mean DAWG!!

Did I mention that I hate being tied to the fucking desktop? Why isn't there a decent Zope based blogging tool? I was just thinking about writing one in Plone.. aaah wouldn't that be nice, with different tabs for different categories.. and definitely one for archives.., one for pictures.. one for rants.. and all configurable thru the web..

Hey, growing up with 7 women, and having to deal with PMSx7 can make you very.. (and I mean Very ... Tactful). Or it can make you GAY.
Went to the beaches yesterday, and took some shots.. Docks was okay, not too many ppl. Didn't do EFF ALL this weekend. Wanted to do some preps for the Bid, but the weather was just too good to do anything "indoorish". So biking and hanging out was it.. (and it was good might I add)
I don't get this.. Friggin 4am and I'm up. Got to get up at like 7:00. This boy needs to get laid (PRONTO)
Or is it just indigestion?
I should'a taken some hipshots at the beaches myself.. D'oh!!!

Saturday night Mimi was telling me about writing 3 pages first thing in the morning.. just too labor intensive for moi at that time of the day.. but seems like not such a bad idea.. kinda like what I'm doing right now.. (but should I subject my blog to it)
Saw a huge cargo ship docked by (what else) the Docks. Reminded me of my plans to go cargo-ship travelling.. It would be nice to get that started in the summer months.. I hear the seas are stormy in the winter.

Of Dreams and roads not travelled
I've been seriously thinking about blogging a trip around the world! Okay this is what I'm thinking:
Raise some funds
Get some backing (Dave Winer?) for my blogging effort
Get equipment and a wireless (satellite modem)
Book a cargo ship itenerary
Leave on a cargo ship, and blog the trip..
I even got the name for the site picked out WWW.BLOGTHEPLANET.COM .
Hmmmm... hopefully this idea I'll stick to (as opposed to the other idea I had the other day, about beautiful toronto etc. )
Need to do some homework.. if I put 3 months for preparations, I should be able to start on Jan 2nd 2003. This would be a great way to document the state of our world at the beginning of the 21st century!!

Hey, American Idol is on, and the last two contenstants, Justin & Kelly are going to duke it out!. Somehow, I have been watching this program off and on..
Just for the record, I'm all for kelly, and I think she's got it! Justin should have been number 4, but hey its the will of the people.
