Regarding McAfee VirusScan:
It has the temerity to show a splash screen when the pc boots. I'd kill it just for wasting my life looking at that.
It's updates require reboots
It has something called a security centre that advises me I need McAfee firewall, spam filter etc.
Must find a virus checker that is less annoying than a virus. At least virii are free.

Tried ssh from work with no joy. At home router port was disabled so no wonder.
Set it all up at home and got VNC to tunnel through it. I'll try again tomorrow.
