VMWare is refusing to connect to the main pc now..

VMWare is refusing to connect to the main pc now I've fiddled with the domain settings. My main PC has moved from 'Computers near me' to the ITL2000 domain, even though it is not logged into that domain. If I try to look in Control Panel/Network Identification/Network ID on main PC it insists on running a wizard. This says the main PC is in the PCW-PC domain. WTF?

The 'properties' button says the main PC is in ITL2000.itl.co.uk domain but the vmware one won't let me set this (domain does not exist or cannot be contacted).
