PC died again.

PC died again. Pulled old dlink network card. Half remember on board sound may cause this ? I'll try that next.

Tried SiteScooper but it does not work: it tries to use something called plucker-build which is not in the plucker release package any more. Still, at least I can get rid of perl.

Home pc still locking up randomly.

Home pc still locking up randomly. I will NEVER knowingly buy a VIA chipset again. Always seems to be when moving the mouse or maybe I only notice it when the mouse does not move.

One thing about this log is that it gives me somewhere to vent.

As the RJ45->BNC bridge is not working I could pull one of the network cards. I'll try the old one first.

Fixed Mozilla failing to boot on home PC.

Fixed Mozilla failing to boot on home PC. Uninstalling 1.5, deleting all moz directories, zapping anything mozilla from the registry, installing 1.4, no joy. Attempting to start it gave absolutely nothing, not even a gpf box.

After browsing bugzilla got the hint to try 1.6a. In fact I downloaded 1.6b and it Just Works.

Firebird does not seem that much faster and I was missing features like:

• Download manager

• tools/cookie manager/block or unblock cookies
