I have a rock garden. Last week three of them died...

         a field. Happy now?]

Seems to sum things up. Going through a personal crisis. Also probably will have to drop my classes and regroup. Ugh. Three steps forward, four steps back.
Still using YDL on the iBook. Hard disk is almost full again.
[linc@localhost linc]$ df
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on

/dev/hda5 99150 22200 71830 24% /boot
none 159436 0 159436 0% /dev/shm
Finally honored my cohorts by putting them on my blogroll. Strange to edit html in a .py file, but that's how you put links there in bzero.
I have not done any work to add piping to bzero yet. Maybe someday. I haven't done any coding for quite a while, other than my script to start wireless:
[linc@localhost linc]$ cat wistart
#!/bin/bash
echo "loading wifi kernel module"
/sbin/modprobe prism2_usb
echo "waiting for radio to start..."
sleep 10
echo "getting dhcp configuration..."
/sbin/dhclient wlan0
echo "wifi is up."
Works great. The only problem is if I have been using eth0, I have to delete the route. Makes me want to write an easy route editor. Maybe that would be a good project. I have tons to do, but as always I would rather work on something interesting.
Sigh. Just posting to do something with my nervous energy between smoke breaks. Why must life be this way? Someday I'll have my shit together.
I've been using Habari Xenu, the Mozilla RSS reader extension. It's fine, the one that works in Mozilla Mail seems better. But if I don't use a reader I find that I forget to check people's sites. Ironically the two 'diary' type sites I visit the most do not offer RSS. Figures.
It's time to boot, do your boot ROMs know where your disk controllers are?
Hee hee.

I was pulled over for speeding today. The officer said, "Don't you know
the speed limit is 55 miles an hour?" And I said, "Yes, but I wasn't going
to be out that long."

Okay enough fortune.
Obviously I have nothing to say. Actually I have lots but today is not the day to publish such things, if ever.
I heard a very honest bluegrass song the other day, the chorus ended with:"Put your little hand in mind, and watched our sweet love die." Doesn't that seem the way? Find something wonderful so you can watch it wither to nothing. Sigh.
Emacs is done auto-saving, how thoughtful.
This is rubbish. Good day.
