I'm selling my gold pocket watch

It's in very good repair. I'd like to sell it to someone in the greater Washington, DC area.

I'm going to use the proceeds to buy a Fuji 690GW II or III , a honking huge medium-format rangefinder camera. I'd consider a trade for such a camera in good working order.

Are Video Blogs Ready For Prime Time?

Cool technology. Everyone can be a talking head, a video pundit.

I like text. It's easy to search. It's easy to read. It's inherently random-access. You can't say that about video or about audio. Maybe you'll be able to do that one day but not now.

I like film, too. I can see it disappearing in my lifetime. I hope not, but I can see it heading that way.
